According to mykidsvision.org, the average amount of screen time teens spend on their phones is 8 hours and 39 minutes. You should stop spending so much time on your phone and see our beautiful outside world.

People should be on their phones less because most of the time you're on your phone you can’t hang out with the people you care for. You can’t be with the ones you care about if you are always on your phone and not paying attention. Go outside and hang out with your friends, go somewhere with your family or surprise your friend. According to mayoclinic.org, friends prevent isolation and loneliness and give you a chance to offer needed companionship, too. Stop being so addicted to your phone and go do something that will help you and put a smile on someone you care about.

The second reason you should get off your phone is an increase in anxiety or depression. According to butler.org, 19 out of 100 people have a higher rate of depression because of being on their phone too much. If you feel more sad and stressed out than usual then phones may be the reason. This is why people should get off their phones.

The last reason you should let go of your phone is that you interfere with your ability to fall asleep. According to webmd.com, screens give off blue light, which can interfere with your ability to sleep. It can also increase the chances of getting insomnia, the ability of having a hard time falling asleep at night. If you are on your phone at night on your bed you are exposing yourself to this blue light. Then you have trouble sleeping at night.

You should stop being on your phones so much and take a look into the real world. Go take a break, when you go home place your phone down somewhere far from you and do something. Go talk to a friend or family member, go hangout with friends, or go find a new hobby. Disconnect yourself from your phone and go see our beautiful Earth.
