Having a quality outfit at Homecoming can be very difficult, but who showed out and put on the best outfit? Homecoming is a high school dance that requires you to be nicely and formally dressed. At Westlake Charter High School’s 2023 Homecoming, there were numerous fashionable outfits, but many people said Sysco Vela’s outfit stood out as one of the best and most unique. Sysco’s outfit consisted of a light blue turtleneck, white pants, and light blue New Balance 550’s. Being the best dressed at homecoming takes a lot of time and effort, which is very respectable to most people. It is also very important to be presentable, especially at

homecoming.

It was said by Sysco Vela that, “Before Homecoming, I  got my hair braided, which took a few hours. It also took me about 20-30 minutes to put on the outfit and perfect it.”

He also stated, “The reason I picked that outfit is because it matched my girlfriend, and I think I look good in baby blue.”

“I influenced myself into creating and making this outfit, I feel it resembles me as a person,” says Vela.

There was an outfit that another student from Westlake put together; which drew the attention of many at homecoming. Jayden Patel had a simple, yet well put on outfit. The clothes that were incorporated into this outfit was a tuxedo, with a green tie that matched with the green pocket square on his suit. In addition, he wore dress pants with Adidas Superstars.

“I found the suit sitting in my closet and since my girlfriend was also going to wear green, I decided to grab a green tie to match her. I also feel as the color green is so vibrant, the outfit will stand out even more. While getting ready for homecoming, it took about 20 minutes to get ready and to make sure this outfit is presentable.” Patel told The Expedition.

Patel also stated, “I wasn’t really influenced by anything, I just picked out what I liked and would be comfortable wearing. I felt super confident once I stepped foot into Homecoming.”

Although there were many students that had amazing outfits, these two, said by many; were the best dressed at homecoming. For more articles about WCHS, check out The Expedition.
