At the Westlake Charter School K-8 campus on October 10th, 2023, Westlake Charter girls volleyball teams had their last home game of the season. They absolutely dominated the other team to end a great season.

The Westlake Charter High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team played their match first. They just finished warming up and they were just about to start. WCHS served first in the first set. The John Adams Academy Girls Varsity Team received it back. WCHS was in the lead, winning the first set, score 1-0. The JAA Girl’s Varsity Volleyball Team serves next while the second set starts. The WCHS crowd cheered so loud you could feel the bleachers shaking. They were as loud as they could be supporting our WCHS. WCHS ended up winning the second set, bringing the score to 2-0. They needed to win one more set to win the match. WCHS ended up winning the third set 3-0 and the JAA Girls Varsity Volleyball team never won a single set.

After the Westlake Charter High School Girls Varsity Volleyball game, the JV Volleyball Team warmed up for their pivotal playoff game. Hailey Tobias, a member of the JV Volleyball Team, expressed her feelings pregame. “We knew that they were good and they were going to be about the same level and it was going to be a good game.”

The WCHS Girls JV Volleyball Team started to warm up along with the John Adams Academy JV Volleyball Team. After the warm-up, they started the first set. The WCHS served first. They won the first set. The WCHS ended up winning the second set. It was a pretty even game between the JAA and WCHS but in the end, WCHS won. After the game, Colleen Johnson, one of the JV Volleyball players, said, “We were all really happy to end the season with the win.”
