Food truck Friday was a fun event hosted by Westlake Charter High School on Friday, September 15th during lunch. During the event, many food trucks came and served food at lunch, with students getting extra time to eat at lunch. 

 

Westlake Charter’s third Food Truck Friday had a lot of options to choose from such as Wingman, Bubble cone, Cali Ice, Smoothie Patrol, and Sac Republic Taco. Many students were excited to try food they have never tried before, with many students and teachers saying that they enjoyed the food. Wingman and Bubble Cone were the two favorites from teachers and students, with both lines being the longest. Eleventh grade student Santiago Esparza said that “Food Truck Friday was fun to be able to try different foods and get extra time to hang out with friends.” 

 

Additionally, since Homecoming was two weeks from food truck Friday, a few people decided to do Homecoming proposals such as Matthew Quilatan to Kay Ramos, Eddy Sanchez to Abigail Grimaldi, and Jose Arrieta to Leslie Ferreira. It was a fun experience for all students and teachers who cannot wait for the next Food Truck Friday.
