At the Westlake Charter School K-8 campus on September 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM, there was a match between the Westlake girls volleyball team vs Sac Country Day girls volleyball team. A rivalry match that they will never forget.

Last year, Westlake Charter High School (WCHS) played against their rivals and lost to Sacramento Country Day in the playoffs. After they lost, it created a rivalry between the two schools. Next year, they had their rematch. The first two sets were won by Sac Country Day.  The WCHS girls team were getting more and more frustrated after each point was scored on them. Sac Country Day was one more set away until they claimed victory. WCHS won the third set. They still had a chance to win. The cheers got louder and the WCHS team was ready. If the WCHS team won this next set, there would be a chance at winning and a chance to get back at Sac Country Day. The fourth set started, you could tell that all the players were tired, but you could see the hope on their faces. It was an even game, but the points kept evening out. The final score was by Sac Country Day.

Jancy, one of the WCHS Girls Varsity players said, “The cheering really hyped the team up and it was very cool that we had a lot of supporters.” If you want to know more about when their next game happens, go to maxpreps.com.
